A. Only paid-up Exhibiting Members may participate in member-only exhibitions. $15.00 per entry, $25.00 for two. Limit of two works per artist per exhibition. The Community Sponsored and the two juried member/non-member exhibitions are limited to one work per artist. Only Exhibiting members may exhibit 2 pieces of wall art in the Holiday Gift Show, no entry fee. No Holiday Gift Show items will be accepted after the receiving dates except to replace items that have been sold. RAC takes a 30% commission on all exhibition sales, 25% on Holiday Gift Show consignments. Supporting members and non-members may submit work to be judged for acceptance in the Spring "Expressions" and the Fall "Mavis Fenner" juried exhibitions. Non-members entry fee is $20.00, one entry only. All RAC members may offer craft items for sale in the Holiday Gift Show. Receiving and pick-up: Monday 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and Tuesday 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Please refer to the Exhibition Schedule for confirmation of receiving and pick-up dates. A late fee of $5.00 may be imposed for any work not picked up on time. B. All work submitted for display must be original work that has been completed in the last three years. No Photo Reproductions, Giclees, etc. C. If only one work is submitted it must be for sale, if two works are shown one may be NFS. All works in the juried exhibitions open to non-members must be for sale. Items in the Student/Teacher Exhibition may be NFS. D. No work may have been previously exhibited at RAC. Photos are taken of each exhibition and kept on file. Works shown earlier may, however, be entered for sale in the Holiday Gift Show. This is the only exception. E. Wall entries may not exceed 40 inches height or length, including frame. They must be framed, wired and ready to hang. Size limit for wall entries during the Holiday Gift Show is 20 inches. Three-dimensional floor art may not exceed 3 feet by 3 feet. The artist must provide an appropriate base. If you have questions call the exhibition chairman for clarification. F. The Exhibition Chair may refuse any entry on the grounds of poor condition, oversize, poor taste, or unsuitability to the theme of the exhibitions. G. RAC is not responsible for any damage to artwork or framing. Entry into exhibitions signifies acceptance of this disclaimer. RAC Membership: All applicants enter as supporting members. A supporting member may become a full exhibiting member in two ways: 1. Submit three works to be reviewed by the Artist Selection Committee. Paintings, prints, drawings and photos should be adequately framed; Sculptors may submit one 1 piece plus 2 good quality photos. Submissions should include an artist bio stating such data as art education, professional experience, exhibition awards and artistic goals. The selection committee meets in January, May and September. 2. By being admitted to 3 out of the 4 juried exhibitions held at the Arts Center over a two year period. "Expressions" in the Spring and "Mavis Fenner" in the Fall are juried exhibitions, open to non-members. |
