This workshop is loads of fun!

As an introduction to acting in television commercials, our focus is on building self-confidence through improvisation exercises and theatre games. Your child will gain valuable skills that enhance focus and concentration, quick thinking, and all important listening skills.
The second half of the class will be on-camera training. Your child will work on-camera each week learning basic auditiong technique and reading and analyzing copy.Your child's self esteem soars as we playback and review their work with positive group feedback and discussion.

While studing acting at HB Studio in NYC, appearing in national commercials and voice overs, twenty five years ago, Jackie landed her first big TV auddition and appeared as a regular "Hee Haw Honey" on television's longest running syndicated show Hee Haw. Known for its corny jokes and southern humor, 'Hee Haw' was the amazing training that allowed her to learn improvisation from some of the best. So whether your childdren want to pursue a career in acting, or just have a bit of fun and build self-confidence, Jackie is a quick read of your child and the experience is well worth it.

Course Description: This is not a technical class, rather, this course will teach children to observe the world around them, to notice settings and objects in their day-to-day life that often go unnoticed and learn how to capture what they see using a digital camera. Each class will begin with a short show-and-tell discussion of a specific photographic idea after which the children will investigate that idea with their camera. Lesson topics will include framing/composition (subject, shapes, space), experimenting with angles, light, shadows and reflections. Some topics will embrace ideas that the children seem specifically interested in as the course progresses.

Digital cameras will be available for all students, although if a student wants to use their own camera, they may, if it uses an SD memory card. All images taken by each student during the session will be downloaded onto a compact disc and will be given out at the end of the session
